Adviser technical of Mr. Pasqua on Corsica

From May 1993 at the end of 1995, Mr. Pierre-Etienne Bisch was the technical adviser of Mr. Pasqua on Corsica " for what touched with the aspect of town and country planning and economic development " , according to what Mr. Bisch declared on October 19th, 1999 at the Board of inquiry on the operation of the security forces in Corsica. On this function, Mr. Bisch could say " My first work of adviser technical was to meet, at the request of the minister, all the members of Parliament of the island. Of course, I was only the shadow of the minister - and an adviser does not weigh anything by itself. But taking into account the respect which could be carried with Mr. Pasqua, I think that my action was appreciated. I do not believe to have exceeded waitings of the minister, consequently, initially at least, that did well. I do not exclude that later on, one could say ego, on several occasions, that I regulated many problems… ".

With the " question; weren't you, ultimately, the legal window of less avowable things at this period? " , Mr. Pierre-Etienne Bisch answered " I do not exclude it ".

Speaking about his role after the taking of of Mr. Juppe in Matignon, and that Mr. Debré to the ministry for the Interior, Mr. Bisch declared " one does not require anything in these cases, one does what one says to us, we are soldiers of the Republic ".
