In kitchen, a pie is a meat preparation, of fish or vegetables, whose ingredients which compose it were chopped and spiced.

Presentation

In Pork-butchery, it is generally made of a mixture finely chopped of pieces of Viande or meat offals (like the Foie), of fatty, Légume S, egg S, Herbe S, spice S as well as other ingredients such as alcohols like the cognac.

In French kitchen a pie can be cooked in a crust like a torta, in which case it is named Meat pie . If it is cooked in a rather deep ground dish, about oval or rectangular form, one can speak about Terrine.

Most famous pie is probably the Foie gras , although whole foie gras, preferred amateurs, contains only liver not chopped and spices, and is thus not a pie.
