Phytophagous

A phytophagous is organization which nourishes itself starting from plants. According to the consumed vegetable part, one will specify if they are:

  • Phyllophagous or Herbivorous, which nourishes fabric of the sheet of the plants. For example Bovine Frugivorous S.

  • Carpophage or which nourishes Fruit S or fructifications of the plants. For example some Monkey S.
  • Cléthrophage or Granivore, which nourishes seeds.
  • Radicivore, which nourishes roots of the plants.
  • Conophage which is nourished exclusively in seeds and the cones of the Conifère S.
  • Succivore, which nourishes sap of the plants.
  • Hétéroconophage, which attacks seeds and the cones with l´occasion, but which saw and generally nourishes stems and needles of conifers.
  • Xylophagous, which nourishes woody fabrics.
  • Phloèmophage, which nourishes fabrics of the Phloème
  • Anthophage, which nourishes Fleur S.
  • Nectarivore, which nourishes Nectar such as for example some Lépidoptère S
  • Pollinivore, which nourishes Pollen.
