The physiopathology is the biological discipline which treats disordered states of the Physiologie, i.e. the physical, cellular and biochemical mechanisms of appearance of a disease organic or cellular, human, animal or vegetable.

It is a field of study making it possible to include/understand not only the clinical signs and biological of a disease, but also to consider a curative treatment by restoring the normal functions of the body or fabric.

It is closely related to the Anatomopathologie, the cellular Biochimie and the Immunologie.

Etymology

The physiopathology term comes from the Greek Physio nature, pathos the disease, logos the langage/le field of study.
