Introduction

The fauna and the underwater flora of the Dalmatie (Croatia) are very characteristic of the the Western Mediterranean in general. One finds overall the same species of the Marseilles Calanques to Malta, while passing by the national park of Pors-Cross-country race, the Sardinia or the Spanish coast.

Sponge S

The sponges very many and are represented everywhere by a great number of species. They are present as well on the sandy funds and pieces of furniture as on the funds or falling to them rock, forming thus often true " murs" sponges. Their ecological role filterers of water is fundamental.
