The phoenix is a Cépage of white grapes.

Origin and geographical distribution

The phoenix is obtaining Gerhardt Al by crossing Bacchus X white Villard in the installations of the Institut für Rebenzüchtung Geilweilerhof in Siebeldingen (Palatinat) in Germany. The type of vine belongs to the list of the type of vine classifications for the production of wine following Article 20 of payment (EC) n° 1227/200.

The surface planted is of 29 hectares. The white Wine is slightly musky.

The phoenix is known under the names Zuchtnummer Gf. Ga-49-22 and Geilweilerhof Ga-49-22
