Phoeniculidae
The family of the phœniculidés (or Phoeniculidae ) includes/understands the 8 species dirrisors and constitutes with that of the upupidés , the order of the Upupiformes.
They are arboricolous birds of intermediate size (21 to 38 cm), generally blacks, often iridescent, sometimes with white spots on the wings and the tail. The nozzle, usually curved, is adapted to dislodge the Arthropode S in the cracks and the cracks of the barks of trees.
Les irrisors lives in sub-Saharan Africa, in mediums timbered, since the rain forest of plain to the arid thickets.
