Séguin Philippe, Daniel, Alain , Politician French and magistrate with the Court of Auditors, (born the April 21st 1943 with Tunis).

Former minister for the social Affairs and Employment, chair French National Assembly of 1993 to 1997 and chair Rassemblement for the Republic of 1997 to 1999, it is currently First president of the Court of Auditors.

Biography

He follows his studies to the colleges Carnot of Tunis, Alphonse-Daudet of Nimes, and Draguignan, then at the Teacher training school teachers of the Var.

Bachelor be-letters with the Faculty of Arts of Aix-en-Provence, it is then graduate higher learning of Histoire and graduate of the Institut of political studies of Aix-en-Provence from which he is chairman of the board since September 2007.

During his political career, Philippe Séguin surrounded himself by collaborators of which some work today at the sides of new the President of the Republic Nicolas Sarkozy. It is the case of Francois Fillon, today Prime Minister of the Gouvernement, of Etienne Pinte, Jean de Boishue, Roger Karoutchi his former principal private secretary today Secretary of State to the relations with the Parliament, or its feathers Nicolas Baverez and Henri Guaino, the latter appointed special adviser near Nicolas Sarkozy.

Philippe Séguin withdrew parliamentary political life after his failure with the municipal of 2001 in Paris and refused to integrate the UMP. He is currently First president of the Court of Auditors.

He illustrated himself by his great sympathy to the Quebec and his independence movement. He helped the freedom fighters at the time of the come to power in 1994 of the Parti Québécois Jacques Parizeau and at the time of his subsequent referendum of 1995 on sovereignty.
