Philippe Robrieux , born in 1936, is a French historian, specialist in the French Communist party. He was also general secretary of the Union of the communist students (UEC) in 1959-61.

Biography

National secretary of the UEC, member of the Central committee of PCF, Philippe Robrieux was one of the victims of the “Affaire Servin-Casanova” in 1961. He is then one of the organizers of the “Italian current” of the UEC. He leaves the party in 1968 definitively. This part of its life is told in Our communist Generation .

It passes then its Agrégation of history and makes a career of historian to CNRS.
