Philippe Portejoie
Philippe Portejoie is a Saxophoniste French.
Gold medal unanimously in 1980 of the higher national Academy of Nantes (where he was the pupil of Jean-Pierre Magnac), first price in 1982 with CNSM of Paris (where he studied with Daniel Deffayet), he formed part during several years of the Quartet of saxophones Gabriel Pierné, supported by the Fondation Yehudi Menuhin, before creating the duet Portejoie-Lagarde which occurred at the time of hundreds in concerts in many countries and whose course is marked out recordings. It is this duet which took part in the great concert organized in Paris at the end of 2004 in homage to Marcel Mule.
Philippe Portejoie is professor of the regional Academy of music of Paris (CNR) since 1995 and animates master-classes. In 2005, it chaired the first national competition of saxophone of Colombia which took place with Bogota.
It also practices the Jazz within the Big band of Claude Bolling where it holds the role of first alto saxophone.
