Philippe Poirrier , born in 1963, is a historian French specialist in the cultural Histoire of contemporary France. He is professor of Modern history to the Université of Burgundy and member of the Center Georges-Chevrier (UMR n° 5605 of CNRS).
He is member of the Comité of history of the Ministry for the Culture (France) and associated member of the Center of cultural history of the contemporary companies of the Université of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-in-Yvelines. He is also responsible for the heading “Notes of reading” of the review Policultures , and person in charge of the pole “Inheritances” of the House of the social sciences of Dijon.Il is responsible for the edition of the electronic Letter of the Association for the development of the cultural history (ADHC). He is editor association of the review U-Culture (S) .
Its current research relates on the history of the public policies of the culture and to the history of social sciences, in particular the cultural history.
