Philippe Peschaud

The colonel Philippe Peschaud , born the 1915 with Saint-Quentin (Aisne), and dead Monday May 8th 2006 with Paris, is a French officer of the the 2nd armor-plated division.

Philippe Peschaud had deserted in August 1940 to join the free France with the Cameroun. He had carried out a raid of 5  000 km with the compass in 1942 to go to seek artillery of the Leclerc column, become 2nd dB. With the head of its group of road traffic, it “had then marked the road” with the units of the 2nd armor-plated division of the general Philippe Leclerc, of the beaches of Normandy to the eyrie of Hitler with Berchtesgaden, while passing by the Libération of Paris. Responsible for the personal safety of the Leclerc general in Indo-China, it had left the Armée in 1947 to create a transport company of oil products. President during thirty-two years of the Association of old of the 2nd dB, colonel Philippe Peschaud was Grand Cross of the Légion of honor. This famous Mister is today buried with the cimetierre of Corsica St Lucia in close to the village of Porto-Vecchio.

Very near to the Leclerc general who is his witness at the time of his marriage with a Rochambelle, Rosette Trinquet, it did not cease all its life diffusing the worship and expensive ideas with the marshal by the means of the Leclerc foundation which it has creates and directed during 32 years.
