Philippe Hurepel de Clermont

Philippe Hurepel , born in July 1201, died in 1234, count de Clermont, of Boulogne, of Aumale and Dammartin, wire of Philippe II Auguste, king de France, and of Agnes de Méranie.
In 1218, his/her father gave him in Apanage the county of Clermont. In 1216, it had made him marry Mathilde de Dammartin (v.1202-1259), countess of Boulogne and of Dammartin, girl of Renaud de Dammartin and Ide of Lorraine. They had:
- Jeanne (1219 † 1252), married to Left-handed of Châtillon († 1250), count de Nevers, but did not have a posterity
- Albéric (1222-ap.1284), count de Clermont, who will give up all his possessions with his sister to settle in England.
In 1226, it accompanied his/her brother Louis VIII the Lion with the Albigensian Crusade. It 1229, it belonged to the barons dissatisfied with regency with Blanche with Castille and took share with the revolt, it seems that he was forgiven thereafter of it. He died in Corbie during a tournament, at the time of a tournament against the count Florent IV of Holland.
After the death of his/her daughter, the county of Clermont returned to the Crown. Its widow remaria with Alphonse III of Portugal, then the county of Boulogne became to his/her cousins the counts of Auvergne.
