Philippe Gomès is a local politician of New Caledonia, born on October 27th, 1958 with Algiers (Algérie).

Initially member of RPCR, Philippe Gomès is elected mayor of Foa in 1989. From the years 2000, it gradually takes its distances with the RPCR and Jacques Lafleur by friendship for Harold Martin. It joined officially the list Avenir together at the end of March 2004 and thus is excluded from the RPCR two weeks before the elections. It is since the elections of 2004 president of the Parliament of the southern Province. It incarnates with Harold Martin the rural electorate anti-freedom fighter.
