Philippe Glatz

Philippe Glatz , (born the October 29th 1953) is a Politician Suisse.

Biography

After having passed its childhood with Lausanne, it leaves for Rabat to the Morocco where his/her father works for the United Nations. Of return in Europe it follows studies of letters to the universities of Freiburg and Toulouse where it takes part in various research programs in Linguistique and with the development of new methods of teaching of French in language second.

Of 1977 with 1984, it teaches French, the history, the geography within the secondary framework as well as French, language second, near adults, within the framework of programs initiated by the the Council of Europe. It leaves then teaching to implement and to direct, until in 1988, the center of the files and medical statistics of the University hospital of Vaud. In same time, it follows studies post-rank of management and management (orientation health systems) and obtains a federal Maîtrise of expert in hospital management in 1988. As from 1988 to date, it directs then chairs the Clinique of Grangettes of Geneva, hospital private which accommodates nearly 5' 000 patients hospitalized per year.

As of 1995, it founds, creates or develops various active companies in the fields of the Médecine, the Informatique, the Industrie, the Aéronautique and other services.

Political commitment

In 1973 Philippe Glatz adheres to the Popular movement for the environment (MPE) (first political grouping ecologist of Switzerland which will become thereafter the left ecologist of Vaud and of which he is member of the executive committees lausannois and of Vaud of 1982 with 1989 and general secretary of 1984 to 1986 included).

Of 1985 with 1989, It sits like elected official ecologist with the Town council of the town of Lausanne. Vice-president of the standing committee of data processing (of 1986 to 1988), he is then also Member of the permanent Commission of management in 1987 and of the direction of the social security in 1988.

In 1989, it leaves Lausanne to settle with Geneva where it works since 1988. He resigns of the Town council lausannois and stops his political activity until in 1997 where he adheres to the party Genevese Christian-Democrat. From 1998 with 2005, it is elected appointed PDC with the Grand the Council Genevese where it is appointed vice-president then president of the commissions of health, of finances as well as control of management.

Since 2006, he is president of the party Genevese Christian-Democrat.
