Philippe Francq
Philippe Francq (born the December 13rd 1961 with Etterbeek) is a Belgian draftsman of Cartoon.
Biography
After six years of studies in Brussels at the Saint-Luc Institute of September 1978 to 1984, where it follows in particular courses of François Schuiten and Philippe Berthet, Philippe Francq seeks to become professional draftsman. He works initially for Gabrielle Borille, then with the Studio Hergé with Bob de Moor. He starts in 1987 a collaboration with Bob de Groot, for the realistic series Of the cities and the women , at Dargaud. He works then in 1988-1989 with Francis Delvaux, which creates for him Léo Tomasini .
In 1988, it meets Jean Van Hamme, which proposes to him to be the draftsman of the adaptation of his novels Largo Winch . This thriller modern on bottom of high finance and pretty girls whose first volume appears in 1990 is worth a very great popular success to him and enables him to be devoted more but to this series.
A draftsman general public
Philippe Francq asserts his very readable realistic style, which enables him to as well paint urban decorations as natural, scenes of action (very many in Largo Winch ) that characters around a work table.
