Philippe Demers

(1919 - 1999), was a Veterinary surgeon and a politician of the Quebec, Canada. It was Député of the provincial district of Saint-Maurice of 1966 with 1973.

It was born with Saint-Sebastien, in Montérégie, 1919. It practiced as veterinary surgeon with Shawinigan-South, in Mauricie. It was city council man town of Shawinigan-South of 1953 to 1957 and mayor of this town of 1957 to 1962.

At the time of the Québécois general election of 1966, it was elected appointed National union with the legislative Assemblée of Quebec in the provincial district of Saint-Maurice, demolishing the liberal deputy Jean-Guy Trépanier. Demers was re-elected with the National Assembly of Quebec at the time of the Québécois general election of 1970. At the time of the Québécois general election of 1973, Demers was demolishes by the liberal candidate Marcel Bérard, arriving in third position behind this one and the candidate pequist Yves Duhaime.

At the time of the Canadian federal election of 1980, he was candidate of the Parti progressist-conservative Canada in the federal electoral constituency of Champlain. It arrived in third position, behind the liberal deputy Michel Veillette and the candidate of the néo-democrat Rene Matte.

He is deceased with Charlesbourg in 1999.
