Philippe Decouflé
Philippe Decouflé , born with Paris in 1961, is a Danse ur and choreographer French of Contemporary dance. Popular choreographer, become famous thanks to the setting in scene of and the fence opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games of Albertville in 1992, it constituted a company of dance eccletic and inventive, meeting a great success near the public since the Années 1990, it works then with Merce Cunningham and Alwin Nikolais, in particular with the national choreographic Center of Angers after being readjusted with the hearing of entry to the École Mudra of Béjart.
Of return in France, it creates its own company in 1983, with Bagnolet: the Company DCA (Diversity, Friendship, Agility), and gains the same year the first price of choreography of the contest of Bagnolet and the Price of the ministry for the Culture. It produced clips, in particular for the group New Order, as well as many outstanding publicities of the Années 1980 of which famous publicity for Polaroïd, which obtained a money Lion to the Festival of Venice in 1989. The visual, shifted and even ludic aspect, even burlesque of its dance is an important component of its style, it brings to its choreographies with dimensions human, artisanal, poetic.
In 1989, it is selected to organize several spectacles, of which Dance of the shoes , at the time of the procession of the bicentenary of the French revolution in Paris. Extremely of this success, Philippe Decouflé creates in 1992 the setting in scene very noticed of the festivities of opening and fence of the Olympic Games of Albertville with the costumier Philippe Guillotel, which will give him an international repute. In 1993, company DCA settles with the Chaufferie with Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) in an old factory rehabilitated for this purpose, and which since is its place of residence, and sometimes of representations.
In 2006, at the time of the European Days of the inheritance, it puts in scene a fashion show at the Villette, called the other procession . Exposed clothing is costumes of the Comédie-Française and national Opéra of Paris.
It was also charged, in 2005, of part of the opening ceremonies of the Football world cup 2006 in Germany, before the project is not abandoned, in particular for budgetary reasons. However, the following year, Decouflé is seen entrusting the organization of the festivities of the opening of the World cup of Rugby 2007 with in particular a parade to Paris called the Fray of the worlds gathering a living thousand of volunteers of the Seine-Saint-Denis
