Philippe Dechartre (of his true name Jean Duprat-Geneau), French politician, born the February 14th 1919 with Truong-Thi (Vietnam).
It was raises with the Louis-the-Large Lycée with Paris and with the Faculty of Law of Paris. He is bachelor of law.
During the War, he is Acting general of the prisoners of war, deportees of Resistance and deportees of work near GPRF to Algiers in 1944.
He occupied various functions in the audio-visual field (producing with rtf, president of the French Institut of broadcasting).
Gaullist of left, it is elected appointed UDR of Charente-Maritime in 1968. He is Secretary of State to the Equipment and with Housing in the government of Georges Pompidou from May 31st to July 10th, 1968 and in that of Maurice Couve of Murville July 12th, 1968 at June 20th, 1969 then Secretary of State near the Population and Employment, Minister for Labor in the ministry of Jacques Chaban-Delmas June 20th, 1969 at July 5th, 1972.
Philippe Dechartre, current senior of the Economic and Social Council of which he is member since 1999, is one of the persons in charge of the current gaullist of left in France. He made invite to vote for François Mitterrand in May 1981 by letter written on headed notepaper of the RPR. It forever in addition hidden its membership of freemasonry.

In the book the invisible brothers, the journalists Renaud Lecadre and Ghislaine Ottenheimer affirm that Dechartre is freemason.
