Philippe DeRouville (born the August 7th 1974 with Victoriaville in the province of Quebec) is a professional goalkeeper of Hockey.

Career

DeRouville begins its career at the 16 years age by playing in the athletic Association amateure of Quebec with the Cantonniers of Magog before joining the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec and the College-French of Longueil. At the end of the season 1991-92, it receives the Trophée Raymond Lagacé of best the defensive recruit of the LHJMQ.

In 1992, the Penguins de Pittsburgh of the National league of hockey choose it as a 115e choice of the fishing out of entry but it will continue to play in the minor leagues for two additional seasons for the French Collège of Verdun.

It is named each time in the second team of Stars of the league and in 1993-94, it obtains an average of allocated goals of 3,06 per match (better average of the league) and receives the Trophée Jacques Plante.

In 1994-95, it signs its first match in the LNH but will play only one match and will pass the remainder of the season in the international Ligue of hockey with the team affiliated to Penguins: the Lumberjacks of Cleveland. In 1996, Patrick Lalime sign with Penguins and DeRouville are thus prevented from signing with Pens. Unfortunately for him, it definitively loses its place in the frankness on arrival from Jean-Sebastien Aubin and Pēteris Skudra.

It currently continues its career in Europe, having played in Serie has, in Ligue Magnus and currently in EIHL.
