Philippe Chifflet , ecclesiastical French, born on May 10th, 1597 in Besancon, brother of Jean-Jacques Chifflet (1588-1660). In 1637, it obtained the quality of general vicar of the archbishop of Besancon, Claude d' Achey. Philippe Chifflet died on January 11th, 1657
He was the friend of famous the Henri Dupuis. He published: Concilii Tridentini cannonade, cum prsefatione and notis , Antwerp, 1640, and gave an edition as well as a translation of the Imitation of Jesus-Christ. also published: A history of the priory of Bellefontaine
