  • In the Tour de France 1988, in the fourteenth stage of Blagnac until the top of Guzet-Snow, after superb escaped, Philippe Bouvatier ends up taking the top on Robert Millar during the rise towards the arrival during the preparation of the sprint when it is victim of an error of shunting to 200 m of the arrivée.
    Philippe Bouvatier loses the stage just like Robert Millar which followed it près.
    Et it is Massimo Ghirotto which had been released during the rise which not only carries it in solitaire.
    Philippe Bouvatier lost the stage, but also a car which was offered to the winner.
