Philippe Aghion
Philippe Aghion is a French economist, born in 1956, known to be one of the major theorists of the growth. He currently teaches with Harvard and the École of saving in Paris.
Former student of the National university of Cachan, doctor of economy to Harvard, it taught with the Massachusetts Institute off Technology (MIT), with Oxford, then in Harvard. While remaining professor at this last university, there teaches as from 2006 at the School of Saving in Paris.
Its work of Macroéconomie mainly concerned the concepts of innovation and growth. It is in particular famous to have proposed a “endogenous theory of growth”.
At the end of March 2007, it signed the call of the 27 economists inviting to vote for Ségolène Royal.
