Philippe-Guillaume d' Orange December 19th 1554 with Buren - † February 20th 1618 with Brussels) is the son of Guillaume of Orange-Nassau, heir to the principality of Orange which was then an enclave in the south-east of the France.

Biography

Whereas his/her father was engaged in the rebellion of the septentrional provinces of the Spanish Netherlands, it was taken as an hostage with the the University of Louvain by the pile cluster at the thirteen years age and was sent in Spain to conclude its studies. Remained catholic, it was kept away of the rebellion and remained faithful to the crown of Spain. It continued its studies at the university of Alcalá de Henares.
