Philip Masure is a Guitariste, using the technique of the DADGAD in particular (see the article open Accord).
It took part in Belgium in groups of traditional music or folk like Orion, Laïs, Ambrozijn, Poescafé, Ialma, Turlough, Urban Trad,… He also plays of the Irish music with the Comas group.
He took part in the recording of more than 30 albums (Mairtin Tom Sheanan, Comas, Urban Trad, Eamonn Coyne, Orion, Amorroma, Aidan Burke,…), and recorded two CD in duet: one of Swedish music with Didier François (nyckelharpa), the other with Guido Piccard (virginal and cistre).
Philip accompanies by many soloists of Irish music, such as the accordionist David Munnelly (De Dannan, The Chieftains), the violonist Carlene Aglim (" All Ireland Fiddle Champion"), Eamon & Terry Coyne (violin and flute), Michel Sikiotakis (flute), Aidan Burke (fiddle), Sylvain Barou (flute, Uilleann pipes). With his two last and the percussionnist Jackie Moran, it forms the Comas group.
