Philip Gudthaykudthay

Philip Gudthaykudthay is an indigenous artist Australia N born in 1935 with Ramingining.

At the beginning guard of cattle and hunter of crocodiles, it is formed with indigenous art by his uncle and his father in the Années 1960. Large expert of the rites of the people Yolngu, it carries out an art of traditional inspiration which is worth to him to be exposed in Australia but also abroad. A retrospective of its work was organized in 1983. It received an important Australian price, Fellowship Grant, in 2006.

In 2006, it takes part in the film 10 canoés, 150 lances and 3 wives of Rolf de Heer, true collective project of its community of Ramingining, in which it interprets the wizard.
