The Philadelphia Barrage is a professional team of stick, based with Downingtown in the state of Pennsylvania. Since the season 2001, the team evolves/moves in the Major League Lacrosse and it is currently in the Conference Is ( Eastern Conference ) after having been in the American Division before 2006. She had played like Bridgeport Barrage of 2001 with 2003 with the The Ballpark At Harbor Yard (5 300 places) with Bridgeport (Connecticut).
Though the name of Stopping was employed the first time at Bridgeport, it also represents the naval history of Philadelphia. The United States Navy and the Corps of the Marines of the United States were made up in 1775 in Philadelphia Navy Yard.
History
The team had played Bridgeport in the Connecticut of the season 2001 at the season 2003 and was replaced in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Villanova in 2004. Of their initial movement towards Philadelphia, for the season 2004, until the season 2006, the team played Villanova Stadium (12 500 places), which is located on the campus of Villanova University. She had previously played The Ballpark At Harbor Yard of Bridgeport (Connecticut) or was organized the first Major League Lacrosse All Star Range in 2001. Philadelphia Barrage reached the final for the first time in 2004 and gained the Steinfeld Cup against the Boston Cannons. The Stopping has to gain again the final and gained the cut in 2006 by crushing Denver Outlaws. For the season 2007, the team moved in United Sports Center Training with Downingtown, Pennsylvania.
