self-educated Tromboniste, Phil Abraham , also called the “Chet Baker of the Trombone”, is regarded as one of largest the jazzmen of Belgium.
After having studied the traditional piano, the guitar and the harmony, Phil Abraham is allured by the jazz and the trombone, which he learned as an autodidact. Its style evolved/moved in parallel with the history of the jazz, and even if he is a large soloist today, he worked with many large musicians.
Phil Abraham took part in more than forty albums, including 10 with its own group. Many a big bands already invited it as soloist. He took share with many recordings and concerts with the big band of radio Belgian (BRT).
Phil Abraham also devotes its career to teaching. He was professor of vocal improvisation in Antwerp and Brussels and is now professor of trombone to the Royal Academy of Brussels and professor of jazz to the National Academy of Douai.
