A phenomenon paravolcanic is said of any active geological phenomenon indirectly related on the Volcanisme and the volcanic activity.

The majority of the phenomena paravolcanic are of order Géothermique, like the Geyser S, the hot sources, the ponds of mud and the Mofette S. Of other phenomena, like the Fumerolle S and the Solfatare S, form part of it.

The Cryovolcanisme, not being regarded as a true volcanicity with whole share, fact part of the phenomena paravolcanic.

Classification:

Fumerolles and sulfur springs

See also: Fumerolle

The fumerolles are cracks and holes from where escape from the volcanic gas emanations, like the Soufre, the Carbon dioxide and the steam. Generally, of the sulfur deposits are created around the fumerolle. One calls also Solfatare very sulfur fumerolles.

Hot sources

See also: Hot source (water)

One calls hot source any hot geothermic source. generally, the hot sources are caused by the volcanic activity. The Ground water is heated by the magmatic Chambre, which created sources of overheated warm water, which can go from 30 °C to more than 100 °C.

geysers

See also: Geyser

The geysers are overheated water emanations which spout out generally intermittently. When gases go up by the overheated ground water, she exerts a pressure on the external conduit which prevents the water of the tablecloth from boiling. When the pressure is too high, water spouts out brutally by the conduit of the chimney of the building and creates a broad water column which can spout out during several minutes.

Mud ponds

See also: Pond of mud

The mud ponds are small bubbling water lakes which braze the sediment on their surface (volcanic mud, clay, materials…) they are in more the share of the volcanic and geothermic zones active.

Mud volcano

See also: Volcano of mud

The mud volcanos are geological buildings resembling volcanos and which expel carbonic gases with extreme mud. In fact very rare formations can be in zones of active or extinct volcanic activity.

mofettes

See also: Mofette

The mofettes are generally cracks and volcanic holes of origin from where escape from carbonic gases. Sometimes, the mofettes braze sediments on their surface. Mofettes can be dissimulated at the bottoms of certain lakes, like the Lac Nyos, or in sea-beds, like the hydrothermal mounts.

hornitos

See also: Hornito

The hornitos are volcanic cones of degasification, created at the time of repercussions of incandescent fragments of lava between them.

Maars

See also: Maar

The maar are very deep craters of volcanic origin, created at the time of the contact between a magmatic pocket and a ground water. They are generally filled by a lake.

Lake acids

See also: acid Lake

The acid lakes are lakes created at the time of snow or the rainwater meditation which fill the craters of certain active volcanos. Very acid, in fact lakes of Acid sulphuric know a pH from 4 to 0.

Hydrothermal mounts

See also: hydrothermal Mount

The hydrothermal mounts are chimneys of volcanic origin which are located in oceanic zones of dorsals or hot spots, at the ocean floor. They emit very hot sulfur dioxides.

cryovolcanism

See also: Cryovolcanisme

One calls cryovolcanism any extraterrestrial volcanicity rejecting of frozen materials (gas, nitrogenizes…) and which is in natural Satellite S frozen of gas planets.
