The phencyclidine or PCP is a Psychotrope Hallucinogène. The PCP initially was developed as a Anesthésique, but was withdrawn from the market because of its side effects (Hallucinations, neurotoxicity).

History

Although synthesized with the the United States in 1926, it will be studied only in 1956 and will be marketed in the Années 1960 under the name Sernylan (like general Anesthetic of veterinary use) and under the name Sernyl (like Analgesic).

This product is almost only with the the United States, like with the Quebec in the form of powder since many years. In the area of Montreal, it is generally cut with inert ingredients and is sold under the erroneous name of mescaline ( Wizz or Mess in the local jargon).

Effects and consequences

With low dose, it induces a kind of Ivresse accompanied by relieving, a feeling of detachment of reality, driving incoordination and difficulties of concentration and communication.
