Phaéthontidé
Of the phaéthontidés ( Phaethontidae ) is the family of the phaéton S, birds of sea of intermediate size (from 70 to 105 cm, including 30 to 56 cm for the median rectrices). They have the long and narrow wings, and the central feathers of the tail are very lengthened. Largely pelagic, one meets them in all the tropical oceanic zones.
Belonging initially to Pélécaniforme S, the Classification of Sibley & Monroe now arrange this family in the order of the Ciconiiforme S.
