Phénylpropanolamine
The phénylpropanolamine or noréphédrine was a Médicament of the family of the Phényléthylamine S used like Relieving congestion nasal and of the Bronche S, and like Anorexigène. There are four Stereophony-isomer S of the phénylpropanolamine: D and l-noréphédrine, and D and l-norpseudoéphédrine. D-norpseudoéphédrine is also called Cathine, and meets in a natural state in the Plante Stimulant E Catha edulis (khat).
Recently, the phénylpropanolamine was withdrawn from the market in much country.
In Belgium, the phénylpropanolamine initially was prohibited in the cut-hunger, but authorized with low dose in mixture in anti-cold (henceforth under regulation), then suspended.
In France, there are no more drugs containing phénylpropanolamine.
In Swiss, the phénylpropanolamine is marketed under the name of Slim Caps® and is present in three associations of drugs anti-cold.
