Phémios (in Greek old Φήμιος / Phếmios , of φῆμις / phễmis , “language, speech”) is a character of the Odyssey of Homère.

Aède at the court of Ulysses, with Ithaque, it appears with song I, during a banquet for the applicants:

“In the middle of them the aède sang illustrates, and all, sitted,
Listened in silence. He sang the return of Troie
And the misfortunes inflicted by Pallas with the Achaens. ”

Pénélope hears it and, descendant of its apartment, requires of him to sing another thing, in order to save its sorrow. Télémaque intervenes then, and asks him to let sing Phémios. After all, he says, other heroes that Ulysses knew misfortunes at the time of their return of Troy.

He reappears with song XXII, at the time of the massacre of the applicants. Its Quadrant with the hand, it beseeches Ulysses to save it, asserting whom it was forced to play in front of the applicants. Télémaque comes to its help and Ulysses lets it leave.
