Pfaffenhoffen
Pfaffenhoffen (German: Pfaffenhofen ) is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace. The name of this commune is the French word which comprises the greatest number of “F”.
Geography
The small town of Pfaffenhoffen is brood on Right Bank of Moder, with the foot of the hill of Ringeldorf. It is besides at the exit of this village, where the road even approaches its long descent in the valley, which the most beautiful panorama offers, not of Pfaffenhoffen, but of its environment: other communes of the agglomeration of the Valley of Moder and picturesque villages of the Country of Hanau which is shelled to the first buttresses of the Vosges.From its position in the north of the Low-Rhine, Pfaffenhoffen is for a long time an important crossing point between Strasbourg, the countries of Zorn in the south and Vosgean Piedmont of Niederbronn in north, between Bouxwiller and the high valley of Moder in the west and Haguenau in the east.

History
April 8th, 1546: First protesting Synod of the county of Hanau-LichtenbergThe borough of Pfaffenhoffen developed around a crossing of two Celtic ways, one skirting the of the Peasants]], of the Religions. Since XVIe - XVIIIe century, Pfaffenhoffen is an important shopping mall of the area. The weekly markets and the quarterly fairs always attracted a crowd of purchasers and merchants. The trade of leather, cloth, pottery was flourishing. In the middle of the {{XVIIe century}}, Pfaffenhoffen was the seat of the brotherhood of the shepherds of almost 200 communes to [[Low-Alsace]] and thus held the monopoly of the trade of wool. The peasants, come from about thirty villages the surroundings proposed there their grains, their butter and other products of the farm. Many craftsmen, restorers, brewers benefitted from this activity and contributed to famous of the borough.
