Peymeinade
Peymeinade is a common French, located in the department of the the Alpes-Maritimes and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.
Geography
History
Until 1868, the history of Peymeinade was, since the Middle Ages the history of Kids…Of Vè Century at 1350, the monks of Lérins went up the courses of Siagne and founded agricultural establishments in the area. In particular " Grenier" , today District of New Barn, and another exploitation whose name is " Prouveyresse" remained.
In 1348-1350, the first great epidemic of êste occurred. The region was depopulated. The Monks yielded their grounds to the Lord. The villagers emigrated. In 1400, Cabris was carried like " inhabité" place;.
1416-1451, the plague still struck. But soon the very whole area was going to live again. The Lords allaint to attract 52 families of the Country of Vintimille by " Acts of habitation". That of Kids dated March 1st, 1946.
1709, freezing destroyed about all the olive-trees.
1734 - 1752, following the nomination, in 1725, of a vicar to the Hamlet of Peymeinade, vicar whom it was necessary to remunerate and place, a church and a presbytery were built.
1786, desire of independence. A lawsuit was going to oppose the inhabitants of the Hamlet of Peymeinade to the Mayor and Consul of Kids.
1790 - 1824 - 1838, of the requests for separation were formulated, but it is only into 1866 that the request for separation was not going to take its true character. The inhabitants of Peymeinade had evolved/moved since a secondary road connecting Grasse to Brignoles had been built in 1846.
June 10th, 1868, the Municipal council of Kids accepted the project of division.
June 19th, 1868, the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes published the decree which created the Commune of Peymeinade. Jean GIRAUD was going to be the first Mayor about it.
