Pevek

Pevek () is the Russian main port of the Mer of Eastern Siberia. It is located in bay of Chaunskaya, with of the Cercle Arctic (), and belonged to the autonomous Okrug of Tchoukotka. Its population is of 5206 inhabitants (census of 2002). Founded in 1933, it accepted the statute of city in 1967. it is one of the ports of the Sea route of north between the Atlantic and the Pacific by the Arctic seas.
