Peugeot 308

The Peugeot 308 succeeds the Peugeot 307 since the second half-year 2007 and was officially presented to the press in June 2007. November 28th, 2006: the production in preproduction of the 308 would have started with Sochaux, the site is placed besides “in confidentiality” since the end of October 2006. It will be also manufactured on the site of Sausheim.

The 308 was officially presented the June 5th 2007 at the time of the motor-show of Barcelona. It was presented to the press on June 27th with Guebwiller, near two European production sites. Marketing began the September 20th 2007 with a sales goal of 350 000 in full year, against a maximum of 580 000 carried out by one 307 which had less competition vis-a-vis it.

Slightly lower than the 307 (of 12 mm), it takes again the semi-high architecture of the 307 which had made its success. Its length, it, increased by 6,5 cm (either 4,276 m). With launching, six motorizations are proposed: 3 gasoline and 3 diesel. At the side from new the 1.4 gasoline of 95 ch to be discovered soon on the 207, the 1.6 with distribution with variable chock developed with BMW available in atmospheric version (120 ch), or is turbocompressé (150 ch). The diesel offer is constituted of the 1.6 HDi of 90 ch or 110 ch, and of the 2.0 HDi of 136 ch. La range has of the news Gear box controlled with six reports/ratios, an automatic box with 4 reports/ratios and a traditional box at five speeds. The Cx is of 0,29. The completion was looked after and the equipment proposes innovations: Alarm of Involuntary Crossing of Line (AFIL), projectors bi- Xenon directional, satellite system RT4 of guidance to hard drive and screen of 7'' retractable.

The range will be very expanded with in particular a broad range of engines gasoline of last generation in addition to traditional the HDi, a version Flex fuel in 2008, and since 2009 or 2010, a hybrid diesel. Later on will be born of the alternatives station-wagon, half-compartment-convertible, a Monospace named 3008 and one version crossed taking again the lines of concept-because 308 RC Z
