It is the first industrial site (all confused industries) of France with 13.841 paid in September 2006, 18.000 in the year 2000. The site currently produces the Peugeot 607 (of which the successor will be produced with Rennes), the Peugeot 307 and the Peugeot 308. Like the site close to Peugeot - Citroen Mulhouse, Sochaux is specialized in the vehicles of intermediate size, resulting from platform 2.The Stage Bonnal, cave of the Football Club Sochaux-Montbeliard, is next to the factory as well as the Musée of the Adventure Peugeot.
