Peuchen
The Peuchen is a creature of mythology Mapuche and mythology Chilota (Chiloé) concerning the southernmost Chile; a creature Métamorphe feared much which could immediately change another animal form.
It was often described as a colossal Serpent of flight which produced the strange whistling noises, whereas its fixed glance could petrify a victim envisaged and enable him to suck its Sang. One often paid to him as causes to suck the blood of the sheep. One eliminated the creature by a Machi (Shaman Mapuche).
