Petrus Christus

Petrus Christus is a Flemish painter probably born in 1410 with Baerle and died in 1475 or 1476 in Bruges.

Influenced by the Flemish “founders”, Van Eyck and Van der Weyden, taking again their taste for the realistic precision and returned prospect, the innovation of its style is in a symbolism impresses devotion, which touches the spectator directly.
