Petrus Apianus
Peter (von) Bennewitz or Bienewitz, known as Petrus Apianus (Leisnig, Saxony April 16th 1495 - Ingolstadt April 21st 1552).
Astronomer and German Mathematician . He was one of the first to propose the observation of the movements of the the Moon to determine the Longitude S. He is the author of a planisphere, Tipus Orbis Universalis , published in 1520.
