Peter Van Loan
honourable the Peter Van Loan , B.A., LL.B, M.A., M.Sc (born the April 18th 1963) is a Canadian politician ; he is currently Député with the House of Commons of Canada, representing the Ontarian district of York-Simcoe since 2004 pennies the banner of the Conservative party of Canada.
Van Loan is active in policy since the 15 years age. He was president of the Parti progressist-conservative Ontario, then Parti progressist-conservative Canada. He resigned of his station in 2000 after a series of dissensions with the chief of the party, Joe Clark.
Van Loan was the leader of the attempt (without success) to convince the Prime Minister of the New Brunswick, Bernard Lord, to aspire to the direction of the Party federal progressist-conservative in 2002. It was also one of the principal organizers of the countryside of the " Oui" , carried out by the chief tory Peter MacKay, to ratify the fusion of the Party progressist-conservative and the Canadian Alliance in the new Conservative party of Canada. Van Loan then tried once again to recruit Lord to aspire to the direciton new party, once again without success.
Van Loan was re-elected at the time of the federal election of 2006 and was nomnmé parliamentary secretary of the Foreign Minister.
The November 27th 2006, Van Loan reaches the Council of Ministers while being appointed Minister for the intergovernmental Businesses, substitute Michael Chong. Chong had resigned the same day to mean its opposition to the motion of the Prime Minister grateful Stephen Harper that the Inhabitants of Quebec form a nation within Canada.
