Peter Tahourdin
Type-setter Australia N, Peter Tahourdin was born in England in 1928. He studied off the composition with Richard Arnell with the Trinity College Music of London, from where he left graduate in 1952. Its music was then played in England, Holland and Canada.
Tahourdin came to Australia in 1964 and was visiting to compose at the University of Adélaïde. The following year, Australian Ballet ordered to him the partition of Illyria , choreographié by Garth Welch with the Festival of Arts of Adelaide in 1966. He undertook then a year of study of the electronic music to the Université of Toronto. Of return to Adelaide, it became active as a type-setter, lecturer and a man of radio and establishes the first practical course of Electronic music in Australia at the University of Adelaide in 1969.
