Peter Meven
Peter Meven , born on October 1st 1929 with Cologne and dead the August 30th 2003 with Waldorf close to Blankenheim (Rhineland-of-North-Westphalia), was a singer of opera (low) German.
Originating in Cologne, Peter Meven initially turned to the Art schools, more particularly the sculpture than he studied in Cologne and Vienna. To Cologne, it entered the municipal workshops as sculptor of theater and parallel to began its studies of song with professor Blasius.
The first engagement as singer: Hegen, Mainz and Wiesbaden. Since 1964, it enters like low to the Deutsche Oper amndt Rhein to Dusseldorf, theater in which he was permanent member. As invited artist, it occurred regularly with Hamburg, Stuttgart, Berlin, Vienna like with Paris, Geneva, Rome, San Francisco, Buenos Aires and with the Festival of Salzburg, of Edinburgh, at May Florentin…
Its roles of predilection were Hans Sachs ( the Masters Singers of Nuremberg ), Gurnemanz, Rocco, Boris, Philippe II.
