Peter Mayhew

Peter Mayhew is a British actor , born the May 19th 1944 with London.

Biography

It is famous to have interpreted the role of Chewbacca, large hairy Wookiee, companion of Han Solo in Star Wars .

More than twenty years after the Return of Jedi , George Lucas again called upon him in 2005, to take again the role of Chewbacca in Star Wars: episode III - The Revenge of Sith .

Anecdote

When he tells how he obtained the role of Chewbacca in Star Wars , this giant of two meters blackjack explains that at the time of the Casting, whereas George Lucas entered the part where he was, he rose, in accordance with the British courtesy, but at the same time overhanging of almost 50 centimetres the realizer, who would then have affirmed: “I think that we found it”.
