Peter Mattei
Peter Mattei is a singer of opera Baryton, of Swedish nationality . He was born in 1965.
Its first role was Nardo in the finta will giardiniera of Mozart, in 1990 with the Drottningholm Court Theater.
It is inter alia product with the Metropolitan Opera New York, with the royal Opéra of Stockholm, with the Festival of Glyndebourne, the Festival of Aix-en-Provence and the Scala of Milan.
Its big roles count Papageno of the Magic Flute (Mozart), Posa Don Carlo , the Count and Barber of the Marriages of Figaro (Mozart), Marcello of Bohemian the , Don Giovanni (Mozart), Wolfram of Tannhäuser (Wagner), etc
It also occurs in concerts, in a very varied repertory, extending from the Baroque music to the Modern music. It recorded the Eighth Symphony of Mahler with Riccardo Chailly (under Decca) and Don Giovanni (recorded live with the Festival of Aix-en-Provence).
