Peter Friedrich Röding

Peter Friedrich Röding is a German malacologist , born in 1767 and died in 1846.

One knows only very little things on this Naturaliste which lived with Hamburg. He is the principal author of a catalog of an important collection of Coquillage S which appears in 1798 under the title of Museum Boltenianum sive Catalogus cimeliorum E tribes regnis naturae. Leave secunda contens Conchylia… Hamburg . This catalog describing this collection and intended to allow the sale in block of it fell into the lapse of memory until in 1925 when William Healey Dall (1845-1927) establishes the taxinomic accuracy of it. Thus Röding was seen crediting with many Taxon S.
