Peter Forsberg

Peter Forsberg , called Foppa (born the July 20th 1973 in Domsjö, in the Common of Örnsköldsvik, Sweden) is a player of professional Hockey of the National league of hockey.

Biography

Since it is very young, Forsberg was always regarded as a very talented athlete. At 15 years, it was the subject already of a video praising its exceptional skill. It is fished out in sixth position by the Flyers of Philadelphia of the National league of hockey at the time of the fishing out of 1991. It however did not dispute any match under the shirt of Flyers since it was exchanged with Scandinavian of Quebec against the return of Eric Lindros which had refused to carry the colors of the Scandinavian ones. At its first season in the LNH (1994-95), Forsberg quickly proved reliable with a harvest of 50 points during one season curtailed (48 parts) by a strike. This exploit enabled him besides to gain the Trophée Calder. During following years, it continued to shine and took part in the two victories in Coupe Stanley of the Avalanche of Colorado. During the season 2002-03, he was the best marker of the LNH, with a harvest of 106 points. This performance enabled him to gain the Trophée Binder.

During the lockout of the season 2004-05, it played for the team of its birthplace, MODO hockey. It passed all the beginning of its career with the Avalanche of Colorado (the Nordiques of Quebec before their removal). At the beginning of the season 2005-06, it joined the Flyers of Philadelphia after having signed a two year old contract of a value of 11,5 million dollars. In spite of that, it does not arrive at well playing and is often wounded.

Forsberg also took part in 5 matches of stars of the LNH, was named 3 times at the center the first team of stars of the LNH, gained once the Trophée Art Ross and gained two gold medals with the Olympic Games.

February 15th 2007, Forsberg playing with the Flyers of Philadelphia, mals classified for the series, is exchanged with the Predators of Nashville in return of Scottie Upshall, of Ryan Parent as well as choice of first and third round.
