Peter Šťastný
Peter Šťastný (born the September 18th 1956 with Bratislava in Czechoslovakia today town of Slovakia) is a former professional player of Hockey Slovak (but its Canadian citizenship obtained).
He is member of an big family of hockey players:
- his/her two brothers played professionally Marián and Anton.
- Ján and Paul his sons play respectively for the Blues of St-Louis and the Avalanche of Colorado.
Biography
He played in the National league of hockey of 1980 to 1995 with the Nordiques of Quebec, the Devils of the New Jersey and the Blues of Saint-Louis.He is member of the the European Parliament since 2004.
One of the first players of the Eastern bloc to evolve/move in the LNH. Talented and prolific marker (450 goals, 789 master keys for a total of: 1239 points in regular season), it formed a frightening trio with his/her two brothers Anton and Marián. Exchanged in Devils in 1989, it is withdrawn in 1995 whereas it plays for the Blues.
