Petauridae
This family of marsupial includes/understands three kinds and 10 species:

Dactylopsila (4 species)
- Gymnobelideus (1 species)
- Petaurus (5 species)
It gathers animals having a membrane which connects the forefeet and posterior on each side of the body, of the wrist with ankle, which enables them to plane from one tree to another. Their Prehensile tail, , is covered long hairs. Pétauridés are present only in Australia and New Guinea. There exists another group of Pétaures, the Acrobatidés, which are called the " pétaures nains."
